A phased full home renovation of a Victorian family residence
We were commissioned to undertake the full interior design and renovation of this four-bedroom Victorian family home in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire. Our scope included space planning, interior architectural design, lighting design, bespoke joinery, and material specification.
Working closely with our clients over the course of a year, we carefully developed a considered design scheme that reimagined the home for modern family living while respecting its original Victorian architecture. Every spatial decision was led by how the family move, live, and intend to grow within the home.
The renovation is being delivered in carefully planned phases to minimise disruption to daily life. Phase One included the guest bedroom and en-suite, master bedroom, and family bathroom. Each space was designed with its own distinct identity, yet unified through a cohesive palette, layered textures, and refined detailing that enhances the home’s period character.
As experienced residential interior designers, we placed equal emphasis on interior architectural detailing and functional comfort. From optimising layouts and improving flow, to specifying bespoke joinery and layered lighting schemes, every element was considered to ensure the home feels both timeless and deeply personal.
Project Emerald exemplifies our approach to full-service interior design: thoughtful, lifestyle-led, and meticulously executed.
The result is a Victorian home transformed into a calm, elegant sanctuary, designed not only for today, but for the years ahead.
