Moor House, Newmarket

The Challenge

The main challenge at Moor House was to optimise the layout of a newly built property to meet the family’s current and future needs. The project required reconfiguring the internal plan to improve flow, create additional functional spaces, and ensure that the home remained comfortable, practical, and visually cohesive.

The design also needed to achieve a sense of understated luxury without overcomplicating the interiors, creating a home that feels inviting, elegant, and functional for family living.

The Process

Our process began with careful assessment of the build plans and the family’s lifestyle requirements, identifying opportunities to maximise space and improve flow. We redesigned the downstairs layout to create a connected, open-plan living area, while adding a fourth bedroom, dressing room, and ensuite upstairs to enhance functionality and storage.

Throughout, we specified materials, finishes, and furnishings to complement the neutral palette and maintain a cohesive, calming aesthetic. Every decision was made to ensure the home is practical for everyday use, while delivering a timeless, elegant environment that supports family life now and in the years ahead.

Our Deliverables

Layout reconfiguration and internal spatial planning, addition of a fourth bedroom, dressing room, and ensuite, open-plan living area design for seamless connectivity, material, finishes, and colour palette selection to create understated luxury, full interior design and styling to ensure cohesion, practicality, and aesthetic appeal.
