5 features you should be including in your new build home

There are so many decisions to think about during the process of building a new home, extension, or renovation, it’s easy to miss things you may later regret. Here are some of my game changes…

1. Heated bathroom floors

During the winter months there’s nothing worse than stepping out of the shower onto a cold floor! Heated floors are not just a touch of luxury they become an essential way to heat your bathroom space.

2. Smart toilets

These used to be just a luxury but hear me out…They are becoming an absolute must-have in luxury new builds. Maybe not in all bathrooms but add one to your primary suites and thank me later. Heated seats, self-cleaning, and deodorising, you will wonder how you coped without them!

3. Hard wired towel warmer

This should always be included. Who doesn’t love a warm towel after a shower on a cold morning?

4. Considered Kitchen design

Designing the right mix of a practical yet aesthetically pleasing kitchen is a must. Gone are the days of cabinets from floor to ceiling. Think deep drawers, glass fronted cabinets, built in pantries, and underlit shelving. Easy access and organisation are always top of the list.

5. Dog wash

For all my fellow dog lovers, this is the real game changer! A dedicated space to help keep your furry family member (and home) clean! This makes doggie bath time a breeze! If you don’t have space inside, think about installing a hot tap outside, a much nicer way to wash muddy paws on cold frosty mornings!
